Venu Pillarisetty, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.S., is a surgical oncologist. He is an associate professor of Surgery at UW Medical Center, and also sees patients at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

Dr. Pillarisetty believes cancer doctors' primary role is to help patients decide among a dizzying array of treatment options. Compassion is the guiding principle of his multidisciplinary approach. He has great deal of experience appropriately applying minimally invasive surgical techniques to complex abdominal operations.

Dr. Pillarisetty earned his M.D. from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is board certified in General Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research and the American Association of Immunology.

Personal Interests

In his free time, Dr. Pillarisetty enjoys photography, cooking and bicycling.
